While most of the characters in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, including the secret ones, can be unlocked throughout the main campaign, there is one character that can’t. Terrako, the little Guardian that follows Link throughout the campaign, is a playable character in Age of Calamity, but it will take a lot of time.
How to unlock Terrako in Age of Calamity
As alluded, you must first complete the entire main campaign of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, including defeating the Calamity Ganon to unlock the mystery Guardian character. Once you have done that and the credits have finished, new quests will pop up on the map.
These new quests are somewhat similar to those in the main campaign, as the challenges will be either Material or Challenged-based. However, these challenges will be much different in terms of difficulty.
As far as the Material challenges go, players will need to complete 50 of them. After each one of these challenges is completed, a new component of Terrako’s body will be unlocked and acquired. While it may seem simple enough, keep in mind that, in most cases, you will need to complete the actual battle Challenges to acquire the items needed to pick up these parts. And speaking of those challenges, those won’t be easy at all.
Hyrule Warriors will have to complete post-campaign challenges that are much more difficult than those in the actual story. It’s also worth noting that you should be at a certain level with your characters to make the mission easier. To see which level is recommended for each challenge, take a look at the Recommended Level when selecting a new quest. The level recommended to complete this challenge will be indicated in white text above the characters currently set for the mission.
