The Pokémon Go Animation Week 2020 event is a time to celebrate the Pokémon Journeys: The Series show. The celebration will focus on several notable Pokémon from the animation series, which means exclusive rewards, a timed research, and the chance to encounter Goh, the animation show’s protagonist.

Everything in Animation Week 2020

All Pokémon Spawns

There will be specific Pokémon spawning throughout the event. You’ll be able to encounter them more frequently in the wild, and there’s an increased chance for players to capture a shiny Cubone.

  • Bulbasaur
  • Cubone (increased shiny)
  • Cyndaquil
  • Dratini
  • Exeggcute
  • Scyther

All Raid Pokémon

Exclusive Pokémon are also making their way to Pokémon Go raids. These Pokémon will be spawning throughout the duration of the event, outside of the traditional Pokémon Go raid options.

  • Golurk
  • Ivysaur
  • Pinsir
  • Snorlax

All Pokémon egg spawns

During the event, any 7-kilometer egg you receive from friends has the potential to contain these Pokémon. There’s the chance you might hatch other 7-kilometer Pokémon, but these exclusive Pokémon are available in the pool.

  • Cubone
  • Mantyke
  • Pichu
  • Rilou

Lugia five-star raid

Lugia will be available as the five-star raid legendary Pokémon. These spawns will be happening on November 5 and continue until November 16. If you capture it during this timeframe, it will learn aeroblast, a powerful new move for its best moveset.

Animation Week 2020 timed research

A new timed research will be occurring focused on the events and activities from the Pokémon Journeys animation show. There will be a variety of rewards for players to earn, along with additional Pokémon encounters.

Goh

Goh, the main protagonist from the Pokémon Journeys: The Series animation, will be appearing. He has the chance to appear in the snapshots you take of your Pokémon, so make sure to take one to see the character appear and introduce yourself. He might have a surprise for you after you take one.
